Activision Blizzard says ‘Call of Duty’ has crossed the $1 billion mark!!

“”Video game publisher Activision Blizzard Inc. said Wednesday that the game “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2″ has brought in more than US$1 billion in revenue since it went on sale in November.”"

“”"Call of Duty” has an edge because of its online multi-player mode. New updates to the online version can give titles a longer shelf life.”"

Call of Duty is SUPER popular, even I love to play it! It’s making a HUGE load of money and breaking records.

Blog #83 – Read the following article.  Why are Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien attacking/taking aim on each other?  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/100114/entertainment/us_tv_late_night

“There was a certain bite to some monologue jokes by each man Wednesday, a day after O’Brien said he wasn’t willing to move the “Tonight” show back a half-hour to make way for Leno.”" Conan got way more for something then Jay did! They are having a big rivalry over something that seems so stupid to me.

Blog #82 – Read the following article about a magazine name change?   What did you learn?  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/100112/oddities/canada_media_sex_offbeat

‘OTTAWA (AFP) – Canada’s second-oldest magazine, The Beaver, is changing its name after 90 years because the title is too often censored by online porn filters, preventing it from reaching new online readers.”

“”Several readers asked us to change the title because their spam filters at home or at work were blocking it,” she said. “I’ve even had emails bounce back because I had inadvertently typed the term in the heading.”"

“But in modern times, the term “beaver” has become slang for women’s genitals.”

Blog #81 – Watch the following video about American Idol.

http://ca.tv.yahoo.com/news/article/tv-news.en.ap.org/tv-news.en.ap.org-20100111-us_tv_fox_cowell

What did you learn?  Do you ever watched American Idol, why or why not?

That Simon is leaving ‘American Idol’ for ‘X Factor’ after this season. Yes, I did watch american idol, I never followed a whole season but I saw some episodes in between… I like hearing people sing, I love music, and it’s really funny when they are horrible, people think too highly of themselves.

The dancing wedding… that is so cool, i wish my wedding could be like that.. it seemed super fun and entertaining, it was really cute, warmed my heart a little.

Blog #79 – Read the following article:  http://scitech.blogs.cnn.com/2010/01/01/megan-fox-sarah-palin-sent-to-hell/   What did you learn about the marketing of the web-based game Dante’s Inferno?

“”Marketing an upcoming video game is a difficult balance between showing enough to excite gamers and spoiling the story by giving away too much.

Electronic Arts is taking a different approach by using Web-based games to promote “Dante’s Inferno” (Visceral Games), a video game loosely based on Dante Alighieri’s epic poem about one man’s journey through the afterlife. The game focuses on a trip through hell, emphasizing its nine levels and seven deadly sins.”"

Blog #78 – Watch this video:  http://ca.movies.yahoo.com/news/usmovies.accesshollywood.com/report-taylor-lautner-hollywoods-highestpaid-teen-actor.

Who is the highest paid teenager in hollywood and what is he paid?  What do you think of the article?

$7.5 million for his next movie, “Northern Lights” ……. I thought it was super suprising… He wasn’t the one i thought would win this. I think he’s good-looking but he isn’t my favorite person.. Good for him though, I wish I could be rich like him, then again, what teenager wouldn’t. He has it all.
